Brandon™ Sensitized Packing improves upon conventional and Retractable turbine packing seal configurations by arranging spring loading to force ring segments inwards to a more preferable normally-closed orientation.
This improves packing gap clearance profiles within LP stages, end seals and during startup cycles, while retaining ideal gap spacing responses that contour to higher pressure operations, allowing BSP to be used alongside Retractable Packing, or standalone across all HP, IP and LP turbine stages.

In addition to turbine shaft packing ring designs, BE orders and supplies coiled compres-sion springs for packing clearances from manufacturer to client, as spring strength, size and deformation specifications are custom to each turbine design.
BE provides spring kits for new designs, replacement orders for existing installations, as well as requested product documentation. With on-site spring inventory stocking for responsive lead times, we handle shipping directly to clients and purchasers.
