Brandon Engineering History

Innovating from conventional leaf and labyrinth-style packing methods with decades of steam turbine design experience, BE Retractable and Sensitized Packing prevail as some of the original and most widely used coiled-spring turbine packing systems in modern steam energy.

BE Packing systems have been implemented in Toshiba, Westinghouse, Siemens, Mitsubishi and other OEM turbine designs worldwide.

Proven Track Record of Engineering Design

Achieving notoriety for his turbine packing systems, including successful large case studies, publications, research grants and energy industry awards, Ronald and the Brandon team began designing and installing Brandon™ Retractable Packing turbines domestically in the late 80’s.

Gaining a steady international client base and record of successful turbine upgrades, BE began to implement Brandon™ Sensitized Packing in the 2000’s, continuing BRP and customer part replacement support services to this day.
